Fernando Menis established “Menis Arquitectos” Architecture Studio in 2008, with offices in Tenerife and Valencia. Menis serves as principal architect and/or co-author of a large number of projects. Some of the already-built projects are: “Tenerife Athletics Stadium” (2007), “Magma Art & Congress Centre” (2005), “Swimming pool on the Spree River in Berlin” (2004) and “Presidency of the Canary Islands Government Building” (1999). Menis Arquitectos is the recipient of numerous international awards including 1st prize WAF 2012 Award for the “New & Old” category and “Special Director’s Award” with the “Plaza España en Adeje” project, 2012 Ambuja Cement Foundation Award in Architecture Innovation for the project Santísimo Redentor Church, WAF Award 2010 for the Best Future Cultural Project. Winner of the Spanish National Architecture and Design Award (PAD 2000). Recognised on several occasions as Winner of the Canary Islands Regional Architecture Award. FAD Awards (Arts And Design Promotion) and Spanish Architecture Exhibition Awards finalist. He has been invited to participate in the Venice Biennale and other exhibitions held at the MOMA NY (2006), Aedes Berlin (2006), GA Tokyo (2009), and so on. Holy Redeemer Church model recently added to the permanent collection of the MoMA. Fernando Martin Menis is also an Associated Professor at “Universidad Europea de Canarias (UEC”) and President of the Laboratory for Innovation in Architecture, Design and Advanced Tourism of Tenerife. He works as well as Member of Jury, Workshop Director and Guest Lecturer at Harvard, Columbia NY, ESA Paris, TU Berlin Universities, Akbield Wien Academy and for Architecture Congress in Switzerland, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, Croatia, Italy, Poland, Colombia, and so on.
