วัตถุประสงค์ของการออกแบบบูธ Student Exhibition ในเชิง Vernacular Living ในปีนี้ เป็นการใช้วัสดุพื้นฐานในการก่อสร้างผนวกกับความคิดสร้างสรรค์ของนักออกแบบ ให้เกิดเป็นนิทรรศการที่แสดงตัวตนของนิสิต/นักศึกษาในหลากหลายมหาวิทยาลัย โดยคณะกรรมการใช้เกณฑ์ต่างๆ เหล่านี้ในการตัดสินให้คะแนน ซึ่งได้แก่ ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ความเป็นไปได้ในการก่อสร้าง การใช้วัสดุได้เต็มประสิทธิภาพ ความเหมาะสมในการใช้งาน เป็นต้น โดยบูธแสดงผลงานต้องแสดงถึงการประกอบกันของวัสดุ (อิฐ) และต้องแสดงถึงหลักการทางวิศวกรรมพื้นฐานของอิฐที่สามารถตั้งอยู่ได้ด้วยตัวเองอย่างแข็งแรง ปลอดภัยโดยไม่จำกัดเทคนิคในการก่อสร้าง เช่น การก่อด้วยปูนก่อ การก่อโดยมีโครงสร้าง เป็นต้น และบูธแสดงผลงานควรต้องเปิดรับผู้ชมนิทรรศการได้รอบด้าน

Building from the combination of ordinary construction materials and the architect's creativity, the Student Exhibition zone at the ASA Pavilion takes as its guiding theme the "Vernacular Living" concept. Gathering students from universities across the country, the area serves as the competition ground where upcoming talents are juxtaposed against one another in their creativity, adaptation skills and architectural interpretation. Each participant demonstrates the unusual use of "brick" in their innovative engineering- and architecture-based designs, furnishing the area with all-new interior art. Moreover, each booth must be accessible by all sides.
