คุณดวงฤทธิ์ บุนนาค เป็นสถาปนิกและกรรมการผู้จัดการของสำนักงานออกแบบ Duangrit Bunnag Architect Limited (DBALP) คุณดวงฤทธิ์จบการศึกษาสถาปัตยกรรมจากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยในปี พ.ศ. 2532 และทำงานกับบริษัทสถาปนิก 49 จำกัดเป็นเวลา 9 ปี ก่อนที่จะศึกษาต่อใน Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA) ในประเทศอังกฤษ เมื่อกลับประเทศไทยจึงก่อตั้ง DBALP ในปี พ.ศ. 2541 ผลงานของ DBALP ครอบคลุมงานออกแบบหลายประเภทและขนาด โดยเฉพาะโรงแรม รีสอร์ตและบ้านพักอาศัย ซึ่งมักจะแสดงความร่วมสมัยเป็นปัจจุบันของรูปทรงและที่ว่าง งานในช่วงแรกเป็นที่รู้จักจากจุดเด่นในความเรียบง่ายชัดเจนและเลือกใช้องค์ประกอบเท่าที่จำเป็นในงานสถาปัตยกรรม แม้จะไม่ได้เน้นความน้อยในแนวทาง Minimalism เป็นหลักก็ตาม ผลงานที่โดดเด่นของ DBALP ได้แก่ H1 Boutique Mall, Costa Lanta Resort, X2 Kui Buri Resort, Hotel De La Paix ในหลวงพระบางและ Thailand Creative and Design Center (TCDC) ในกรุงเทพฯ และเชียงใหม่ ความสนใจในแง่มุมต่างๆของการออกแบบที่ผสมผสานกับธุรกิจของคุณดวงฤทธิ์สะท้อนออกมาในการเปิดร้านเฟอร์นิเจอร์ anyroom และโครงการ The Jam Factory ที่คลองสาน นอกจากนี้ คุณดวงฤทธิ์ยังมีบทบาทในการทำงานให้กับองค์กรทางวิชาชีพ อาทิ กรรมการและอุปนายกฝ่ายต่างประเทศของสมาคมสถาปนิกสยามฯ กรรมการสภาสถาปนิก และ Deputy Chairman for Zone B ของ Architects Regional Council of Asia (ARCASIA) คุณดวงฤทธิ์ บุนนาคเคยได้รับรางวัลการออกแบบมากมาย รวมทั้ง ARCASIA Award for Architecture ในปีพ.ศ. 2556 รางวัล ARCASIA Gold Medal ในปี 2548, the ASA Award ในปี 2547 และ 2549 และรางวัล The UK’s FX Award ในปี 2543
Duangrit Bunnag is a design director and managing director of the architectural firm Duangrit Bunnag Architect Limited (DBALP). He graduated with a Bachelor in Architecture from Chulalongkorn University in 1989 and practiced at Architects 49 Limited in Thailand for nine years. Duangrit continued his architectural education at Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA) in London before returning to Thailand and establishing his own practice DBALP in 1998. His company’s portfolio embraces architecture, landscape, interior design and master planning, ranging from design hotels, resorts, commercial and residential projects. Many of DBALP’s early works have gained reputation for bold designs that feature simplicity rather than minimalism. DBALP’s remarkable projects include H1 Boutique Mall, Costa Lanta Resort, X2 Kui Buri Resort, Hotel De La Paix in Luang Prabang, and Thailand Creative and Design Center (TCDC) in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Beside architectural practices, Duangrit runs a furniture design and retail brand ‘anyroom’ and recently opens ‘the Jam Factory’ complex that underlines his broad interest in aspects of design and lifestyle business. He has also contributed to professional organizations in several positions, including a committee and Vice President of Foreign Affairs of the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage, Deputy Chairman for Zone B of the Architects Regional Council of Asia (ARCASIA), and an elected Board Member of and chairs the Architects Council of Thailand. Duangrit Bunnag has received several local and international recognitions, for example ARCASIA Award for Architecture 2013, ARCASIA Gold Medal in 2005, the ASA Award in 2004 and 2006, the UK’s FX Award in 2000.
