YOUNG ARCHITECTS IN THE AGE OF NEW DISRUPTIONS

ASA Emerging 2026 aims to provide an open platform for “emerging” architects and designers, both as individuals and as practices, to showcase and present their work at Architect ’69. The program seeks to highlight their potential, ideas, and the evolving role of contemporary designers in shaping both Thai society and the global context.

The ASA Emerging 2026 exhibition will select participants through a jury process, resulting in six architects or architectural practices (the number may be adjusted as deemed appropriate). The selected participants will be those who have demonstrated a significant and distinctive role over the past decade (2015–2025) and whose work has been recognized at both national and international levels.

While this selection cannot encompass all talented emerging architects and designers, the exhibition aspires to serve as a representative snapshot of the profession—reflecting diverse design approaches, working methodologies, and perspectives on the role of architects amid the rapidly changing social landscape of Thailand.

The ASA Emerging 2026 exhibition will showcase works developed under the curatorial framework “YOUNG ARCHITECTS IN THE AGE OF NEW DISRUPTION.” The exhibition emphasizes perspectives of the new generation of architects working amid conditions of transition and disruption across multiple dimensions, including social, economic, technological, environmental, and professional structures.

Participants are free to present their work through projects (Works), professional identity (Practice & Identity), or critical themes (Topics) that explore challenges and opportunities in architectural practice in Thailand and Asia.

Projects may be located anywhere, and can be completed or in progress, as long as they clearly reflect the theme and the perspective of the new generation.
