Founder & Principal Partner

Born in 1975 and graduated from Yale University in 2002, Ma Yansong founded MAD Architects in 2004. It is committed to developing futuristic, organic, technologically advanced designs that embody a contemporary interpretation of the Eastern affinity for nature. With a vision for the city of the future based in the spiritual and emotional needs of residents, MAD endeavors to create a balance between humanity, the city, and the environment. Their culturally rich architecture has gained widespread attention globally. Notable works include the Harbin Opera House, Quzhou Sports Park, Jiaxing Train Station, Yuecheng Courtyard Kindergarten, and the "Marilyn Monroe" Towers in Mississauga, Canada. Their ongoing public projects encompass the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, Fenix Museum of Migration in Rotterdam, and the Shenzhen Bay Cultural Park.
