Alphaville (เกียวโต) เป็นสำนักงานออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรมที่ก่อตั้งโดย Kentaro Takeguchi และ Asako Yamamoto สองสถาปนิกที่ต้องการนำเสอนมุมมองใหม่ในการใช้พื้นที่ทางสถาปัตยกรรม โดย สร้างอาคารที่ทำให้ผู้ใช้รู้สึกได้ถึงความแตกต่างและความไม่จำเจของการใช้พื้นที่ Takeguchi และ Yamamoto จบการศึกษาด้านสถาปัตยกรรมจาก Kyoto University หลังจากนั้น Takeguchi ได้ไปศึกษาต่อด้านสถาปัตยกรรมที่ Architectural Association สหราชอาณาจักร ส่วน Yamamoto ไปศึกษาต่อที่ l’Ecole d’Architecture de Paris, La Vilette ในปีพ.ศ. 2541 จึงได้ก่อตั้ง Alphaville ขึ้น ผลงานของ Alphaville โดนเด่นทำให้บริษัทได้รับรางวัลในประเทศญี่ปุ่นหลายชิ้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นรางวัล Design for Asia Award ปีพ.ศ.2552, Japan Association of Architectural Firms award ปีพ.ศ.2553, 57th Osaka Architectural Contest ปีพ.ศ.2554 และ Setsu Watanabe Prize นอกจากผลงานออกแบบแล้ว สถาปนิกทั้งสองเป็นอาจารย์สอนด้านสถาปัตยกรรมในหลายสถาบัน Takeguchi เป็นอาจารย์สอนด้านสถาปัตยกรรมที่่ Kyoto City University of Arts, Kyoto University of Art and Design, Kobe University รวมทั้งเป็นอาจารย์พิเศษให้กับ Osaka Sangyo University อีกด้วย ส่วน Yamamoto เป็นอาจารย์สอนด้านสถาปัตยกรรมที่ Kyoto City University of Arts, Kyoto University of Art and Design และ University of Shiga Prefecture
Alphaville is a Kyoto-based architectural design firm led by Kentaro Takeguchi and Asako Yamamoto. Known for their exploration to create distinct spaces that could break away from monotonous spatial experience, their design offers another vision of how we understand spatial organization and formal configuration. Both Takeguchi and Yamamoto studied architecture at Kyoto University, while Takeguchi continued his architectural education the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, Yamamoto graduated from l’Ecole d’Architecture de Paris, La Vilette. They established Alphaville in 1998. Alphaville received numerous awards such as Design for Asia Award 2009, Japan Association of Architectural Firms award 2010, 57th Osaka Architectural Contest 2011, Setsu Watanabe Prize. Takeguchi also teaches at Kyoto City University of Arts, Kyoto University of Art and Design, Kobe University, and is adjunct Professor, Osaka Sangyo University, while Yamamoto teaches at Kyoto City University of Arts, Kyoto University of Art and Design, University of Shiga Prefecture.
